Atlas Returns from Successful Trip to South East Asia

August 2014 saw both Stephen and Gareth Lamb undertake a trip to Thailand and Indonesia to meet with new and existing customers in Bangkok as well as manning a booth at Indoprint 2014 in Jakarta.
After already confirming used bindery and finishing machinery deals from numerous clients from the South East Asia region, including a Polar guillotine line with handling system and a reconditioned Kolbus hard cover line, Stephen and Gareth decided to head to the area that was showing most activity in recent purchases. The visit proved very successful as the sales duo managed to sell a package of machines including a case maker and a saddlestitcher as well as a sewing machine and a similar case maker to accompany a customers’ existing casing in line.
In addition to this, Gareth and Stephen met with new and existing customers and dealers in Thailand and in the process put a face to the many emails and phone calls which has proved invaluable in establishing and maintaining healthy business relationships over the years. The booth Atlas took at Indoprint also served as a base to meet both customers and dealers in the Jakarta area and there are already promising signs that some further business will come from all the encounters we had during our time in both regions.
Gareth is next planning to attend the print exhibition in Chicago with Atlas’ southern representative Piers Goodwin.
